The Lad, which first aired in 1991, is a cult classic that has become one of Australia’s favourite Christmas classics.
It has won countless awards and won over 100 Grammys, including Best Original Song and Best Rock Album.
The song was the first song played on a national holiday and has been a staple in holiday parties for decades.
It is the only song played every year.
The Lad also had a hugely influential effect on the pop music industry, winning Grammys in the US, Canada and the UK.
The album also won multiple awards including Album of the Year and Best Alternative Album.
This week, ABC Radio Canberra will play The Lad again for the first time since the show’s initial broadcast.
This time, listeners will hear a brand new song, the first from the new album.
The new song is called Bohemian Rhapsody.
“I think the lyrics are quite good,” says music producer Michael Van Morrison.
“It’s a little bit lighter and more pop-influenced than the original.
It’s also got a bit of a dance beat and it’s a great song to play with friends and family.”
Mr Van Morroyns music team has worked with a number of artists over the years, including Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, David Bowie and even the Dalai Lama.
The lyrics to Bohemian riddle are inspired by a couple of favourite Christmas songs, “Little Red Riding Hood” and “The Little Drummer Boy”.
“I really liked the way the lyrics sounded,” says Mr Van Morrisroyns band mate, Mark Ritter.
And it’s not a big, epic, grand style of dance. “
You’ve got this little drum beat, and the little boy has a little dance in his step.
And it’s not a big, epic, grand style of dance.
It really just sounds like you’re sitting down in a little little room, you’re dancing around and you can really get into this groove and have fun.”
Bohemian is one of many songs that have been used to create a new generation of Christmas songs.
The songs have been sung to thousands of different groups across Australia, including the Little Drummers and the Mardi Gras dancers, as well as the childrens choir of the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Bohemian also won a Best Alternative Song at the 2013 Grammys.
“There’s a lot of great Christmas music coming out, and we’re excited about that,” says The Lad producer Michael Ritter, who has been working with a new group of performers each year for the past two years.
“They’re coming in from all over Australia and we have a lot to work with.”
The Lad’s new album Bohemian was produced by producer Mark Ritters band.
It features the tracks Bohemian, The Little Drumman Boy, The Dancing Little Drum and Bohemian Song.
